Black Palm Beetle Batik Bandana

The intricate pattern on this hand-dyed batik bandana is crafted by skilled artisans in Indonesia using a 700-year-old batik technique.

This bandana is made from white cotton fabric that is then hand-stamped and hand-dyed using 700 years old batik wax and dye technique. The batik fabric is also then sun baked. You should expect some variation of the color.

This pattern is called Kawung Hitam, or Black Horn Beetle or Black Palm Tree pattern.

Due to the pre-washing process and the use of hot wax in its creation, our bandana may have slight variations in shape, resulting in a non-perfect square. This minor shrinkage is a natural part of the traditional batik process, adding to the uniqueness of each piece.

Material: soft lightweight 100% cotton fabric, that is more typical of bandana. This is a different type of material than our original collection of thicker fabric, while still made of 100% cotton.
