Block Print Pouch Kits

Print, keep, share! An afternoon learning to block print by hand, and the tools to carry on long after.

Each kit comes with two hand-carved wooden blocks, printing ink and a compact ink tray, so you can print your own canvas pouch, then keep printing on the three handmade paper cards tucked inside, a birthday note, a thank you, or a letter sent just because. The blocks and tray are yours to keep, so the printing carries on long after the pouch. Print the pouch, build a practice. 

The blocks are hand-carved from Indian Blackberry wood and the ink tray is the same design we use in Rajpur, sized down for a smaller project. Made the slow way, from JOYN's studio in Rajpur to yours.

Each kit includes:

• Two hand-carved Indian Blackberry (Jamun) wood blocks, finished with mustard oil
• Mini traditional pine ink tray with jute ink pads and a scraper, a compact version of the one we use in our studio
• Black block printing ink (25ml), non-toxic acrylic for monochrome designs
• Paintbrush
• Hand-stitched cotton canvas pouch with waterproof lining and zip (Size: 9 x 5.5 x 3")
• Three hand-pressed cotton paper cards with envelopes
• Printing guide with design ideas

Care:Clean inks with soap and warm water immediately after use · Inks are permanent after 72 hours of drying at room temperature · Pouch: hand wash preferred
