Haitian artists in Croix-des-Bouquets create beautiful sculptural designs out of the metal from old steel oil drums. Beginning with cardboard patterns inspired by nature and culture, they trace out designs on flattened oil drums. With chisels and hammers, they carefully cut and decorate the metal by hand. Each piece is shaped and smoothed, then the artists boldly and proudly chisel their name on to the metal sculpture. Haitian steel drum sculptures are fabulous both indoors and out.

Measuring approximately 4" x 5" each, these birds are perfect for creating your own flock in flight. Display them together on a patio wall, above a mantel, or alongside artwork indoors. Their simple yet elegant form makes them a versatile accent for any style — from rustic to modern coastal.
